The reception and the tour are conducted with repsect to the sanitary, hygienic and social distancing rules put in place. For visits of the cave, we ask visitors to wear a mask at all time (mandatory for anyone aged 6+). If you do not possess one, surgical masks are sold on site (sold by the unit).

CERTIFICAT COVID NUMERIQUE UE

From January 24, 2022, Covid-19 “Health pass” rules evolve in France.
French and European Union visitors, also visitors from Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, United Kingdom (England and Wales), Switzerland.

The new vaccine pass is required for visitors aged 16 and above. This Covid-19 Certificate includes mainly 2 situations:

  • A vaccination certificate: stating that you are fully vaccinated ;
  • A positive Covid-19 test proving that you have recovered from the virus, from more than 11 days and less than 6 months ago.

The health pass is still required for visitor aged from 12 years and 2 months and 15 included. This Covid-19 Certificate includes a third possibility :

  • A vaccination certificate: stating that you are fully vaccinated ;
  • A positive Covid-19 test proving that you have recovered from the virus, from more than 11 days and less than 6 months ago.
  • A recent negative Covid-19 test, either an RT-PCR or antigen test, from within the last 24 hours.

You can provide your Covid-19 “Pass Sanitaire/Vaccinal” (Health Pass) in the format that you prefer:

  • in paper format: by presenting your document (original or photocopy) with the QR code;
  • in digital format: by presenting a photo or scan of your document with the QR code; Or a valid EU digital COVID Certificate accepted in France ; or a digital Covid Certificate from the UK also accepted in France.

Non-EU visitors : If you are fully vaccinated, you can obtain a vaccine equivalency health pass when arriving in France. You can apply in many pharmacies in France. Check this webpage to find out more

MEASURES TAKEN ON SITE

– Seperating protective glass around cash registers.
– Staff wearing masks at all time.
– Limitation of the numbers of visitors.
– Mandatory wait outside of the entrance hall.
– Markings on the floor to respect distancing rules.
– Multiple hydroalcoholic gel stations have been set up.
– Predetermined way of circulation in the cave and store.
– Cleaning of surfaces and entrance hall.
– Disinfection of audio-guides after each use.

The cave is naturally ventilated given the lack sealing capabilities of the rocks and the large volume of the galleries (12km).
The presence of multiple natural and artficial opennings provides a significant aeration of the cave.

RECOMMENDATIONS TO VISITORS

– Please respect the measures put in place at the site.
– Bring a mask.
– Prioritize purchasing tickets online or paying with no contact debit/credit cards.
– Strollers cannot be used on site. Only baby carriers are suitable for the visit.
– Think of bringing warm clothing (temperature inside the cave is 14°c)

MEANS OF PAYMENT

We encourage visitors to buy their tickets online in order to limit contact at the reception. However, we do accept cash and debit/credit cards but no contanct payment is encouraged.
